Approximately 20% of people in the United States have a disability: that means that more than one million people in Minnesota live with a disability.
Access Press is Minnesota’s only multi-disability nonprofit news source, bringing together diverse aging and disability community voices, discussing critical issues, and providing network resources for more than 30 years.
Our monthly publication serves as an all-encompassing resource for Minnesota’s disability and aging communities, and is a leading source of news and information for Minnesotans with disabilities.
Access Press has more than 900 individual subscribers, as well as more than 100 non-profit and government organizations that subscribe to Access Press. In addition, the paper is publicly available at drop sites located in communities across the state of Minnesota.
The Access Press website provides an online version of the monthly publication. An active social media presence helps draw an increasing number of visitors to the website, where they can view and download a PDF copy of the paper or view content online.
Minnesotans read Access Press because they are seeking news and information that relates to them and their families. But they also gain access to valuable resources and information about services and supports that are available.
