Thanks to everyone who came out to the Access Press August happy hour at Surly Brewing. It was great to connect with so many fantastic people and hear your stories (lots of pictures here). The food and drinks were great, and the live music set the perfect mood. We are planning another in-person get-together soon. We want to bring even more of the community together for good food and entertainment from musicians, artists, and comedians with disabilities.

This month, we are trying something a little different.

We are hosting our first virtual Access Press Community Forum, September 10, 4-5 PM on Google Meet.

I would love for you to join and share your ideas. What stories do you want to see covered in Access Press? You can pitch a new topic, share your thoughts, or help vote on future story ideas. Feel free to keep your camera on or off—whatever is most comfortable for you.

If you can’t make the virtual forum, you can still send your thoughts anytime. Email [email protected] with your ideas for articles, columns, videos, meetups, or ways we can keep Minnesota’s disability community better connected.
