Because of extreme heat and poor air quality on the originally scheduled date of July 16, the annual Disability Pride Festival sponsored by Advocating Change Together has been re-scheduled to Thursday, September 17, from 10am to 2pm at the Minnesota State Capitol Mall.

Five people stand in front of the Minnesota State Capitol holding brightly colored posters.
Say it loud: I’m disabled AND proud.

So there’s plenty of time to make up your own pride poster (or not) and plan to join the celebration!

The new date also falls during Disability Voting Rights Week (September 14–18), creating an exciting opportunity to celebrate disability pride, civic engagement, and leadership together.

Following the festival, join MCIL/ADA Minnesota for “Celebrating Constitution and Citizenship Day, Independent Living and the Right to Vote” in the Capitol Rotunda from 2-4pm.

MN caregivers can earn a $100 stipend and a $0.40 raise by attending home care orientation training starting January 2027.
