Founded in 1960, Avivo provides chemical and mental health services, career education, and employment services. We specialize in helping individuals and families who face personal or systemic barriers – poverty, homelessness, joblessness, chemical addiction or mental health concerns – achieve recovery and economic stability. Avivo serves nearly 18,000 Minnesotans each year, helping them achieve recovery, employment, and economic advancement.

Biographical Info

Vinland provides behavioral health services to individuals with cognitive impairments. Since 1990, Vinland has provided drug and alcohol addiction treatment for people with cognitive disabilities. We were the first center in the country to design a treatment program to meet the unique needs of individuals living with brain injuries. Vinland National Center enables individuals with multiple disabilities to live productive and fulfilling lives through a whole person approach that addresses the mind, body and spirit.
